Cancellation Policy

Due to the nature of our events, classes, and dinners, all payments are non-refundable or exchangeable. If you find yourself unable to attend, you may transfer the ticket to someone else. However, we are unable to refund, exchange, or apply a credit to another offering. All payments are final.

Cooking Class at The Kitchen at Middleground Farms

All the amazing side dishes for your holiday season!

We’ve all seen the traditional Thanksgiving cornucopia of vegetables, overflowing with the bounty of the season. Chef Jason French created this class to celebrate that image and all that Autumn represents here on the farm.

Students will start with an introduction to product identification, sensory awareness and knife skills. The menu will introduce you to deep frying, basic jam and jelly production, glazing vegetables, stuffings and farces, braising and roasting.

Seems like a lot? Whether you’re a novice or accomplished cook, Chef French has an easy going informative style to fit your abilities. His passion for farm driven fare and seasonal cookery will make for a memorable class to brush up on Autumn and all it offers the table. (Please note, this is not a vegetarian class, but we’re always happy to make accommodations.)

As always, this hands on cooking class culminates in a family style meal around our beautiful barn wood tables.

On the menu… Beet & Parsnip Fritters with Stone Fruit Jam ~ Hungarian Pork Stuffed Savoy Cabbage ~ Potato & Celery Root Gratin
~ Yam Tart Tatin, Maple Cream

A sparkling welcome beverage and a glass of wine with lunch is included.  Additional wine and beer is available to purchase.
