Simple Seasonal Suppers: Spring Chicken

Chicken is a delightful lean, versatile and inexpensive protein, especially if purchased as a whole bird. But turning an entire chicken into a manageable week’s worth of meals can be a daunting task. Join us as we learn our way around a chicken and become our own meat counter. We’ll break down whole chickens into breasts, thighs, and drumsticks and experience the best way to treat each one. To ensure we have no waste at the end of the evening, we’re simmering the most flavorful chicken stock for soup. Class culminates with a delicious meal enjoyed family-style around our beautiful barn wood tables.
On the menu… freshly fried chicken ~ buttermilk smashed potatoes with chicken gravy ~ braised greens with chicken cracklins ~ banoffee pie (hear: banana + toffee = YUM)
