Join us for a cozy mid-morning of baking delicious and versatile breads and pastries. First, you’ll learn the basics of enriched doughs like brioche and the varieties of pastries and breads that can be made with them.  You’ll learn how different methods of enriching dough, with butter, milk or cheese and how that affects the finished products.  Then you’ll jump into the world of short doughs, where you’ll create the most meltingly tender pie crusts for use in both sweet and savory applications.  You’ll also learn different flour types and how they can affect your doughs and crusts.  You’ll leave the class armed with much knowledge and confidence to bake up a storm at home!  Class culminates in a delicious meal served family style around our beautiful barn wood tables.

On the menu… gooey pecan sticky buns ~ impressive dinner rolls~ light lemon pastries ~ hand pies with savory roasted squash and chevre ~ spiced almond and pear hand pies
