The chefs cooking and teaching at Middleground Farms love their work, and the team of other hospitality professionals that all collaborate to make your experience special. But this is a time we won’t be collaborating – we are letting our individual chefs run wild, and make their dream food. The food that speaks to their heart when one pushes themselves creatively as an artist.

Come enjoy Kate Johnson’s vision  as we invite her to take over the kitchen and create a one of a kind experience for our guests. She’ll be preparing a 5-7 course meal with an accompanying wine pairing curated by our sommelier Jean. If you love & support Kate, this is your night.

A bit more about Chef Kate

Meet Kate, the accidental culinary maestro who fell for cooking in her late teens, sharing baked goods on band trips and sleepovers. Years later while in the Air Force, Kate found herself daydreaming about fruit tarts instead of doing work, she then realized she should look into doing that for a living.

Kate’s culinary style is all about real, everyday food for everyday people, envisioning her mom as the quintessential home cook. The best part of her gig? The community around food, especially the joy of folks recreating her lessons at home.

Chef Kate will be creating a seasonal menu paired with beautiful wines.  If you know Kate, you know she is creating a rustic yet refined menu of seasonal food.  Meltingly tender, slow-braised chicken…fresh pasta…. so many delicious ideas!

Three options are available:

Family-style seating at the Chef’s Table, limited to 20 people
Four bistro tables, accommodating two guests each
Wine barn, for up to 10 guests

Per Person Pricing

A per-person cost of $150, which includes dinner & pairings.  Gratuity not included.

For Large Groups

If you have a party larger than 10, call The Kitchen at 503-746-3030 to allow us to assist you with your reservation.

Additional Considerations

Chef Kate is pleased to offer options for guests with those following a vegan lifestyle, and those needing gluten-free, dairy-free choices. However, due to the nature this evening’s menu, we regret that we cannot guarantee accommodations for other dietary restrictions such as nut allergies.
