About the Farm

The Kitchen resides in a refashioned cattle barn, equipped with a modern kitchen and state-of-the-art appliances. A vegetable garden provides stock for the kitchen, as does the family’s 25 laying hens and small herd of Nubian dairy goats. Neighboring farms and local artisan producers provide much of the rest.

We believe local, seasonal, humanely and sustainably grown foods are the most delicious and healthful, but we can’t be perfect all the time. You’ll see us at Costco, too. And you won’t find a hybrid tractor here. There is no elitism in our personal farm-to-table movement. Everyone has to find his or her own middle ground. That is how we came to the name Middleground Farms.

Find Your Middleground

You may find us because you love fresh air and animals as much as we do, and you are yearning to get closer to the source of your food. Maybe you just want to become more proficient at making interesting and healthy weeknight meals for your family.

Maybe (like me!) you use food and wine as your entertainment and social life. Whatever your reason, you will be welcome here.

We are glad you found your Middleground.
