The chefs cooking and teaching at Middleground Farms love their work, and the team of other hospitality professionals that all collaborate to make your experience special. But this is a time we won’t be collaborating – we are letting our individual chefs run wild, making their dream food. The food that speaks to their heart when one pushes themselves creatively as an artist.
Come join Chef Cook as we invite her to take over the kitchen and create a one of a kind experience for our guests. She’ll be preparing a 5-7 course meal with an accompanying wine pairing curated by our sommelier.
A bit more about Chef Katie
As a child Katie enjoyed playing host for her parents’ dinner parties: writing out menus, taking jackets, and helping serve the food. Now she hopes to provide you with an elevated culinary experience with the Middleground Farm team.
While her degree is in Baking and Pastry, Katie is inspired by classic culinary traditions and techniques meeting modern flavor profiles, in both the sweet and savory realms! Feeling just as at home serving collard greens and cornbread, as she is serving four star chef's tasting menus. Originally from Virginia, Katie is proud to have called Oregon her home for more than two decades, and some of the primary reasons are the produce. And ultimately the food.

Menu
Virginia to Oregon to Alaska. Chef Katie is going to give us a taste of her storied career as a chef. From simple home cooked classics, to elevated cuisine, she is creating a menu that resonates with things that we crave, and also the things we feel excited and intrigued to eat. We’re hearing whispers of polenta, braised greens, salmon, and ossobuco.

Family-style seating at the Chef’s Table, limited to 20 people
Four bistro tables, accommodating two guests each
Wine barn, for up to 10 guests

A per-person cost of $150, which includes dinner and pairings. Gratuity is optional.

Additional Considerations
Chef Katie is pleased to offer options for guests with dairy allergies and those needing gluten-free or pescatarian choices. However, due to the nature this evening’s menu, we regret that we cannot guarantee accommodations for other dietary restrictions.
