It may be bleak outside, but The Kitchen is cozy! Let's make good dietary habits in The Kitchen!
Plant Based Meals: Winter Wonderland
A diet rich in things from the earth is not just for vegetarians, but many of us are only comfortable with the basics of meat-and-potato cookery. Join us as we gain inspiration from the winter vegetable harvest, and learn how to eat a rich, filling, satisfying plant-focused diet.
Together we’ll learn how to give depth to vegetables by roasting and make dishes exciting with whole grains and seeds. We’ll make a creamy soup with intimidatingly hefty celery root. We’ll make homemade leek sausages perfect for weeknight dinners. For dessert, we’ll combine sweet date syrup and creamy tahini into a luscious caramel sauce for drizzling on everything!
As always, this hands-on cooking class culminates in a family-style meal around our beautiful barnwood tables. Enjoy a glass of wine or beer upon arrival and another with your meal! All non-alcoholic beverages are also included.
